The investigations were carried out by the US Department of Justice under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, which continued throughout the last four years since the case was filed on February 28th, 2008. "This is a remarkable achievement for any corporation to win against an industrial heavyweight for a multi-million dollar settlement," Alba added.
