Bahraini foreign minister Khaled bin Ahmed Al Khalifa has said the kingdom is still working with Qatar on the proposed causeway project to connect the two Gulf countries and it is sure to become a reality, the Peninsula has reported. "The causeway is a strategic project for both countries. We need more bridges and people are talking about the Qatar-Bahrain causeway and another bridge to connect Bahrain with Saudi Arabia," said Al Khalifa. "The causeway will be built for sure but I cannot give the exact time to start the project. The Technical Committee is studying the project and the bridge will be built. This is what I felt during my visit (to Qatar)," he said.
