Bahrain says it has no counterfeit medicines

  • Bahrain: Tuesday, May 14 - 2013 at 05:06

Bahrain's National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) has said the kingdom is free of counterfeit medicine, thanks to its rigid monitoring and control of imported products, Gulf Daily News has reported. "We assure people that no counterfeit medicine is present in Bahrain," said the chief executive of the NHRA, Dr Bahaa Eldin Fateha. "This is due to the rigid monitoring and control of medicine coming to the country and is also due to partnerships with bodies concerned to deal with such issues, including an excellent partnership with the Customs Directorate," said Dr Fateha.
