- PRESS RELEASE
Bahrain Financing Company (BFC), the Kingdom's oldest, largest and most reputed money transfer and foreign exchange group, is pleased to announce that it has opened its 31st outlet.
As the first exchange house in the area, the branch, which is open from 9am to 8pm, seven days a week, will cater to the needs of ASRY employees, the labour force residing in the surrounding vicinity and the larger Hidd community. Often working in shift patterns, getting to an exchange house can be challenging for a large percentage of the work force in the area, which was one of the main deciding factors behind BFC's decision to open the branch.
"We understand how difficult it can be for many of the work force operating and living in Hidd to get to more centralised areas such as Manama, where the majority of exchange and remittance houses exist. By opening up a branch within walking distance of ASRY and many of the workers living quarters, we are able to cater to these customers' requirements and provide them with the facilities and services needed to allow them to send money home to their loved ones on a regular basis," said BFC General Manager, Errol Fonseca.
With the Khalifa Bin Salman Port - the main transshipment hub for the Northern Gulf - also located in Hidd Industrial Area, this new branch will cater to the FX needs of ship passengers, ensuring that they are able to acquire both the local currency and the currency of other countries on the shipping and cruise ship routes.
BFC has continued to steadily expand its network of branches over the last few years and continues to provide customers in Bahrain with a trustworthy and efficient way to send and exchange money. In addition to opening the ASRY branch, BFC has also expanded its Al Hussain branch in order to meet the outlet's growing popularity. The branch can now service 5 customers at one time thanks to the addition of 2 more counters reducing the waiting time for customers.
