Bahrain to implement public projects worth BD63m

Bahrain's municipalities and urban planning affairs minister, Dr Juma Al Ka'abi has announced the government is to implement public projects worth BD63m across the kingdom until the end of 2014, Gulf Daily News has reported. The projects include new central and traditional markets, walkways, parks and gardens, shopping complexes and centres, as well as beautification initiatives and public support schemes. "We have chosen those projects in response to public demand and we are planning to spend BD63m within the next 18 months to carry them out," he said.
