Bahrain's Asry to build fourth dry dock

Bahrain-based Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard (Asry) has announced its sales rose to $35.8m in the first two months of 2012, compared with $24.6m for the same period last year, Gulf Daily News has reported. The sales volume is expected to further increase by the end of this year, with good progress being witnessed by the dock, said Asry chairman, Sheikh Daij bin Salman Al Khalifa. The company plans to build its fourth medium-sized dry dock, as part of its forthcoming five-year plan to meet the expectations of current customers and to attract new owners of medium-sized ships, he noted.
