Bank Sohar announces growth in the Emerging Corporate Banking unit

The Emerging Corporate Banking unit (ECB) of Bank Sohar announced new initiatives to support the growing needs of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Oman. The bank provides a wide range of financial facilities and services to new and existing businesses.

Dr. Mohammed Abdulaziz Kalmoor, CEO of Bank Sohar, commented on the importance of supporting the SME sector in Oman, "In line with the guidance and visionary leadership provided by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, we at Bank Sohar believe in the importance of partnering with SMEs' for a flourishing business sector in Oman. We acknowledge that a growing SME sector is vital for economic diversification which will in turn enhance employment opportunities for talented Omanis. These enterprises are considered to be strategic pillars for economic stability within the Sultanate. With this in mind, the Bank Sohar ECB team has launched several worthwhile initiatives to support this important sector, helping them grow and prosper."

The ECB unit of Bank Sohar is offering seminars and workshops for entrepreneurs to enable them to commence their business ventures in a planned and structured manner.

Topics such as business planning and cash flow management, marketing and human resources planning will be covered in the seminars. These events will be conducted in Muscat and other localities, and will be offered free of charge to participants.

Dr. Mohammed Abdulaziz Kalmoor added, "The ECB unit at Bank Sohar supports private sector businesses from the start-up stage right through to regional expansion and beyond. Our team offers a wealth of invaluable advice, entrepreneurial support and experience to this emerging sector. We are confident that our services to the SME Sector will help grow the economy of the Sultanate of Oman and play a key role in serving the people of Oman in the future."
