Bank Sohar partners with Arab Financial Services for 3D-Secure services

On the occasion of launch, Mr. Khalfan Rashid Al Tal'ey, DGM-Retail Banking of Bank Sohar, said, "Over the past few years Bank Sohar has been aggressively expanding its product suite to meet customer needs. We have also introduced many new features on our Credit cards. However, consumer protection and convenience is always on the top of the agenda at Bank Sohar."

Introduction of 3D-Secure services is our effort in that direction, to enrich online shopping experience by promoting secure ecommerce transactions. 3D-Secure transactions are performed with use of an additional security feature - authorization with the registered password. This way the Bank will authenticate not only the card but also the cardholder during payment with a credit card during internet purchases.
