Batelco to begin restructuring from January

Sheikh Mohamed bin Isa Al Khalifa, chief executive of Batelco Group has said the firm is to start implementing a restructuring exercise in January, as part of a plan to reduce costs and streamline operations, Gulf Daily News has reported. The plan would be carried out throughout next year and the results would be visible from early 2014, he said. "We are looking to reduce operational and other expenses in key areas, internally and externally," he told the daily. "This will mean looking afresh at the way we do business and negotiate contracts for the benefit of the company."
