Batelco has announced its exclusive platinum sponsorship of the American Women's Association (AWA) Cherry Tree Trot 2012, which will take place at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) on November 30, 2012.
In pledging BD15,000 towards the event, Batelco has reaffirmed its commitment to assisting local charitable organisations to carry out their good works in the community.
Shaikh Mohamed said that Batelco is delighted once again to make a significant contribution to this worthwhile event. "We are confident that the AWA will do a great job in allocating much needed financial aid to scores of Bahraini charities," he said.
"The Cherry Tree Trot always draws huge numbers of Bahrain's residents of all ages and nationalities and we at Batelco are looking forward once again to being central supporters and participants of this popular event," he added.
Mrs. Arowojolu said that with this donation, Batelco will be the exclusive platinum sponsor for the 2012 Cherry Tree Trot. "We are thrilled to have Batelco's support behind our flagship charity event."
"The AWA is proud to be the only society in the Kingdom of Bahrain that organizes an event such as the Cherry Tree Trot that includes everyone young and old of all nationalities whether they are able bodied or disabled," Mrs. Arowojolu added.
Mrs. Hussain added that Batelco's platinum sponsorship gives the AWA a great foundation on which to build their community service fund. "Such funding allows us to continue to make significant contributions to more than 35 different charities in Bahrain," she said.
