Batelco to sponsor University of Bahrain Career Day

Batelco General Manager Human Resources Bahrain Suhaila Alnowakhda presented the sponsorship cheque to UoB Vice President for Community Service & Alumni Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Mansour Al Shehab, at a presentation held at Batelco Hamala Headquarters recently.

Prof. Al Shehab was accompanies on his visit to Batelco by UoB Director of Career Counseling Office Nael AL Anais.

Batelco's Career day stand, which will be the biggest at the annual event, will be located in the centre of the Main Hall and it is expected that around 800 students will visit the stand every day to meet Batelco industry experts who can answer questions about careers at Batelco and give advice based on their years of experience in their respective fields.

Mrs. Alnowakhda said, "Batelco is delighted once again to support Career Day which has been such an important part of the UoB calendar for years."

"Career Day provides the perfect opportunity for university students to find out more about careers in the telecommunications industry as well as the wider job market. The event will provide a clear picture for all students about the career prospects available at Batelco, and what kind of qualifications Batelco looks for," she said.

"I congratulate UoB officials for organising the Career Day once again and for their ongoing efforts to build a better future for young Bahrainis," she added.

Prof. Al Shehab thanked Batelco for its generousity and stressed that their continuous support for the university's activities would benefit the work market in the Kingdom.

"The continued sponsorship of this event has created a unique relationship between the university and one of the major companies in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which will surely contribute to further boosting mutual co-operation," he added.
