Bawabat Al Sharq Mall reaches 51% operations with new stores every week

Baniyas Investment and Development Company (BIDC) - the investment arm of the Baniyas Sports Club - has announced that more than 51% of the gross leasable area(GLA) at Bawabat Al Sharq Mall (BAS Mall), the one of a kind shopping center in the city of BaniYas, is now operational.
Aside from the 93 renowned brands that have already opened, shoppers are now able to enjoy their time at the latest additions which include Swiss Bakery, Merinos Carpet, Dunkin Donuts, Arte Madrid, Anmar Couture, PappaRotti, Hatam, Mom & Me, Bottega Del Gelato, Spring Field, The Face Shop and FA Sports Café.
In his commentary, Antony Ranger, Bawabat Al Sharq Mall Director said: "We are extremely happy with the progress in operations at BAS Mall. More than 51% of our GLA is now operational and new stores are opening every week. Currently, our leasing has reached 76% of the GLA and we expect to reach 85% towards the end of the year pushing the percentage of our operations further."
In addition to Carrefour Hypermarket, Grand Cinemas and WANASA Family Entertainment Centre, Baniyas Investment and Development has signed agreements with Landmark Group, M.H.Alshaya,LiwaEnterprises,Chalhoub Group, Khaja Group, Kamal Osman Jamjoom Group and Al Ghurair Retailto open their brands at BAS Mall.
On the other hand, Azadea Group, the latest addition to the mall, is now close to opening eight outlets and fashion brands includingOysho, Intimissimi, Piazza Italia, Gymboree, Jules, Mango, Sunglass Hutand Paul Café & Bakery.
BAS Mall welcomesits visitors between 10:00am and 10:00 pm on weekdays with extended timing till 12:00 pm on weekends. Shoppers are now able to enjoy their time with the excellent available retail mix including fashion wear, sportswear, cosmetics, accessory and jewelry outlets, electronics and neighborhood services aside from Grand Cinema's largest screens in the UAE.
Bawabat Al SharqMall is part of the BAS Project which spreads over 108 hectares in BaniYas City. The mall will host over 240 prime retail shops and facilities over two floors covering 62,265 square meters of retail area.
