Bayanat to acquire spatial data for ADCO's concession area and major oil fields

The announcement by Bayanat, one of Mubadala's defense-related companies, and ADCO took place during the International Defense Exhibition (IDEX) 2013 which takes place 17th - 21st February.

The aerial and field surveys will collectively cover approximately 30 per cent of the UAE's total geographical area. ADCO is an Exploration and Production Oil company, part of ADNOC Group, which extracts and produces oil from the onshore and shallow water areas of the emirate of Abu Dhabi. ADCO intends to utilize the survey outputs to enhance its operational efficiencies and direct its growth plans.

Bayanat was selected for the project due to its leadership and extensive experience in the mapping and surveying field. The company owns the most comprehensive topographic database of the UAE and offers various spatial data acquisition, processing and cartography and visualization services to fulfill the needs of a multitude of industries. The contract with ADCO forms part of Bayanat's ongoing efforts to further expand its operations across Oil and Gas and other primary industries.
