BCDR-AAA to organize third Annual Willem C. Vis Middle East International Commercial Arbitration Pre-Moot

The Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution (BCDR-AAA) announced that it will organize the third Annual Willem C. Vis Middle East International Commercial Arbitration Pre-Moot. The event, which will be held in Abu Dhabi between 10th -14th February 2013.

The event will be organized, under the patronage of University of the United Arab Emirates, and in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Commerce Commercial Law Development Programme (CLDP), and the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Law Centre for International Legal Education (CILE).

A total of more than 35 law students from 7 universities in the Middle East, will participate at the event.

Participating universities including:

•University of Bahrain.
•University of Bagdad.
•University of Jordan.
•Hekma School of Business & Law of Dar Al-Hekma College in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
•Sultan Qaboos University in Oman.
•The Faculty of Legal, Political and Social Sciences of Tunis.
•The United Arab Emirates University.

The annual Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, which will be held in Vienna, Austria in March 2013 is the pre-eminent moot on commercial law and arbitration.

Teams from 292 universities and 67 countries take part in the written and oral advocacy competition. The 2013 event will be held (22-28 March 2013).
