  • United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, December 05 - 2012 at 14:32
  • PRESS RELEASE

In light of several cases of data breaches and identity theft, Bee'ah is urging businesses in the UAE to employ proper document disposal procedures to reduce such incidents which could lead to security breach.

"Often victims do not know how their personal information was leaked. Improper disposal of documents containing sensitive information is the main reason and a serious threat, which can potentially jeopardise national security and a contributor to massive financial losses for companies and individuals," commented Mr. Najib Faris, Vice President of Business Development, Communications& Awareness at Bee'ah.

"Organisations face a significant challenge - how to dispose of their outdated storage media in a secure and safe manner. By eliminating this storage space provides companies with the opportunity to upgrade their equipment and software, create new office space, however it also poses a hazard.
