Belhasa Projects appoints new CEO

Belhasa Projects (BHP) has appointed Suleyman Gary Busby as its new CEO. Mr. Busby will lead BHP's strategy to expand the company presence and develop existing and potential projects in the GCC.

Ever since its inception in 1980, BHP has been providing custom made swimming pool design as well as manufacture and installation for major hotels, leisure complexes and large villas in the Region. Today, the firm has also branched into other ancillary business areas such as landscaping, Facilities Management under the Belcare brand, industrial and sports surfacing, electro-mechanical, infrastructure work and waste water treatment, equine facilities, concrete repair, and trading in various products and services pertaining to the above facilities.

Earlier this month, BHP, a Dubai based company part of Belhasa Group of Companies, won the coveted Best Exhibition Stand award at the recently concluded Qatar International Exhibition for Pools and Spa.

Mr. Busby is a fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (FCMA) in the UK and has 36 Years work experience in the UK, Turkey and the Gulf, including 19 years in Dubai. Since February 2008, Mr. Busby was employed in an advisory role in the Belhasa Group.

His prior experience spans many industrial and commercial sectors and includes substantial involvement in construction and property development. "BHP is capable of unrivalled market leadership in its operating sectors, and I will aim to secure that," said Mr.Busby.

"Mr. Busby brings to Belhasa Group his knowledge, expertise and excellence in business strategy and process management as well as general financial management," said Dr. Ahmed Saif Belhasa, Chairman of Belhasa Group.
