- PRESS RELEASE
BenQ, an internationally renowned provider of digital lifestyle innovations, launches a new model of short-throw projector with higher-grade specification catering both business and home users in the UAE.
At a 0.53 metre projection distance, it can also offer a clear 50-inch image allowing anyone to give presentations even in a partitioned meeting space or suitable SOHO size. It is equipped with WXGA (1280x800) resolution while the standard length-width ratio of the screen is a widescreen of 16:10, and can also project commercial documents and briefings in any wider projection space.
Meanwhile, when extended to 1 metre and more, the projection could nearly fill up a screen between 95 inches up to 190 inches, exhibiting the strength of projection of this short-throw projector. The text and figures, even in such larger screen size, remain crisp and not distorted including visible projector data in venues with indoor lights on.
"The high resolution of the new MW817ST projector can clearly exhibit depth and perception, which is one powerful tool in business occasions. What also distinguishes this projector from others is its user-friendliness that allows easy set-up even at home," said Manish Bakshi, Managing Director, BenQ Middle East & Africa.
"The MW817ST comes with HDMI input terminal that can be connected to a number of AV appliances including computers, TVs, blu-ray and DVD players, and game consoles. The projector has built-in 10Wx1 speaker and does not require any special screens and can be directly projected onto any wall making it very convenient to enjoy movies or when holding parties or other occasions," Bakshi added.
The MW817ST projector features superior entertainment functions with compact dimension sizes allowing it to be carried between the office and home. Its buttons on top comes with simple operations while the rear side input is equipped with various terminals for HDMI and other AV equipment.
The projector is also powered with SmartEco technology mode from BenQ with its automatic detection of the optimal brightness of projection content and can reduce the light bulb power consumption between 30 to 70%. This function differs completely from the past energy-saving mode, which does not solely darkens the screen but automatically find out the most suitable brightness for projection content.
"The new MW817ST projector definitely meets various business users' demand along with home entertainment needs. With its high-grade specifications, the MW817ST responds to users longing for higher functionality with its appealing features for both business and home usages," Bakshi furthered.
BenQ MW817ST projector is available for purchase in the UAE and Middle Eastern region through
BenQ's leading distributors and retailers.
