Betchel to conduct study for Alba's expansion

Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) has commissioned Bechtel Canada to perform a bankable feasibility study (BFS) for its 'Line 6' expansion project. The study is to include the economic analysis for the construction of a new Line 6 and Power Station 5. The company's sixth potline is expected to produce an additional 400,000 tonnes of aluminium per year and Dubal DX+ Technology will be used as the basis of the study. The study is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2013.
