- PRESS RELEASE
Bin Majid Beach Hotel, recipient of the prestigious Platinum award 2012 in the category of the Best 4-star Leisure Hotel from MENA Travel Award, has launched the 'Go Green' campaign, aimed at creating awareness on the importance of protecting the environment and sustaining its natural resources for the present and future generations.
Dr Ali Kasapbashi, Group General Manager, Bin Majid Group, said: "We are pleased to announce that we have initiated a Go Green concept in support of a sustainable hospitality industry. Our green program will encourage guests to join our efforts in protecting the environment. If we do not take action now we will not be able to correct the damage that has been done. Hotels can play a major role in changing the culture of waste in the UAE so we are doing our best to help protect the environment and sustain its natural resources for the present and future generations."
The four properties of Bin Majid Hotels - Bin Majid Beach Resort, Bin Majid Beach Hotel, Acacia Hotel and Mangrove Hotel - are leading the way to promote environmental activities that will preserve their surroundings for its residents and guests. The Go Green concept was launched to encourage other properties in the emirate to practice the same.
With tourism in Ras Al Khaimah presently in full swing, this is the best time to engage in activities that will care for the surroundings. The emirate's splendid landscape surrounded by the mountainous terrain and the tranquil sea makes it a great venue for weekend escapades and holidays as it boasts an array of fun-filled outdoor activities including desert camp and safari, mountain climbing and biking, and various water sports like scuba diving, kayaking and water skiing. Other equally enjoyable activities include falcon shows, fishing and golf.
