Emaar just keeps on building
Saturday, October 6th, 2007Emaar Properties, which will undoubtedly be one of Cityscape’s most high profile exhibitors, added yet another development to its ever-expanding portfolio last week. The Polo Homes community is located within the Arabian Ranches, alongside the Dubai Polo and Equestrian Club.
The project consists of 71 villas, each with up to six bedrooms, and plot sizes vary from 15,500 square feet up to almost 40,000 square feet. Three model villas have already been built to give prospective buyers an idea of what they would be buying and a sales centre is about to be launched.
Polo Homes is, of course, a mere post-script when compared to Emaar’s many large-scale multi-billion dollar projects across the region and this was borne out last week by the firm’s announcement of $20bn worth of developments in Algeria. Emaar will build a new city at Sidi Abdellah, a resort at Colonel Abbas, a waterfront venture in Algiers and a Healthcare City at Staouali.
Emaar now has projects underway in Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt, Libya, Syria, Jordan, Morocco, India and Pakistan, in addition to Algeria - and the UAE of course.
