Record number of planes at Dubai Airshow
Sunday, November 4th, 2007This year’s Dubai Airshow, taking place between the 11 to the 15th of November at the Airport Expo, will showcase more than a 140 aircrafts ranging from strike fighters to VIP business jets and heavy cargo carriers.
The static display will be the largest ever aircraft, showing a wide range of models which include the Cirrus SR22 G3, the world’s fastest-selling, single-engined four-seater aircraft, the Dassault Falcon 7X, the original ‘fly-by-wire’ long range business jet, which also claims to be the “first aircraft to be designed entirely on a virtual platform”, and the SJ30, the world’s fastest longest range light jet.
‘The wide diversity of aircraft shows the depth and breadth of our exhibitor portfolio and we know visitors to the Dubai Airshow will be in for a major treat as they will see first hand the very best the industry has to offer,’ said Alison Weller, Director-Aerospace, Fairs & Exhibitions, which organises the show. The show expects to receive 40,000 visitors this year, who will be able to view aircraft produced by 900 exhibitors from 50 countries.
This year, for the first time, the number of new exhibitors to the market accounts to a tenth of the show’s entire profile, with 130 new exhibitors from 24 countries.
