Having flown SilverJet's sister airline, MaxJet before on trips to the States, I am excited at the prospect of these flights. The food and service are excellent and speedy transit through the airport is a big plus. However, to describe Luton as London is to stretch a point. The difference in time to get to Luton from central London as compared to the Heathrow Express may negate some of the time savings.

For me the real boon of Silverjet isn't so much the inflight service as the arrangements on the ground, especially in London. Heathrow airport has become almost unmanageable it's so congested and the queues for security etc. which everyone has to go through, regardless of class, are getting out of control. In contrast Silverjet's private terminal at Luton is wonderful, with check-in at their lounges and their own super fast security channel. I expect the new arrangements in Dubai will be very similar.
