Under the supervision of the Water Supply Coordinator, the Water Borehole Monitor is in charge of monitoring and overseeing the water filling process starting from the borehole. This includes - but is not limited to - truck verification and registering, borehole operations monitoring and coordination with other water supply team members to ensure optimized trucking operations.
1.Truck registering includes:
-He/she records all ACTED trucks taking water from the borehole
-He/she verifies that the truck is registered on ACTED master list (front and back license plates, volume and number painted on the truck, ACTED and Unicef visibility)
-He/she verifies the state of the trucks and reports any issue to the Water Supply Coordinator
-He/she registers the following information in his/her log book: time in / time out, license plate, truck number, volume
-He/she ensures that the trucks are filled from a compliant source (i.e. fully licensed drinkable source of water)
-He/she reports any issue / problem arising with the borehole (quality issue, mechanical problems, reduced pumping capacity, etc.) and passes on this information as soon as possible to the Water Quality Officer and Water Supply Coordinator
-Occasionally and upon request from the Water Quality Officer, he/she conducts free chlorine residuals and/or turbidity tests at the borehole
-He/she reports the results from these tests in the appropriate template end communicates results promptly to his line manager and the Water Quality Officer
-Under the supervision of the Water Supply Coordinator, he/she liaises with ACTED water account and site monitors at Za’atari’s Eastern gate in order to ensure and facilitate optimum supply from the borehole (improve timing, stop trucking when advised to, etc.)

The Event Executive’s role will have a dual focus. 60% will be related to the development of event proposals and 40% will be operational and involve the execution of the event. The Events Executive will report directly to the Events Manager and will ensure that all TGP events are delivered to a high quality standard representative of the TGP brand - on time and within budget.
Once the event proposal has been developed, the Event Executive will need to translate the concept into specific actions. Excellent planning, organizational and project management skills are therefore key. The ideal candidate should also be able to propose and implement sound marketing & business development initiatives to further develop the diverse revenue streams of the division.
Liaise with and assess the reliability of suppliers, develop solid business relationships
Ensure the smooth operations of all events, representing TGP Events Team as and when assigned by the Events Manager
Propose creative and feasible ideas to capitalize on the skills of the Events Team
Maintain knowledge of the UAE Events market and industry trends
Propose project initiatives that relate to the Dubai events calendar
Supervise the coordination of projects to be smoothly implemented
Propose and implement procedures and processes to improve the operational flow of the Events Team
Undergraduate Degree in Business / Marketing / Sales or Communication
Minimum of 3-5 years UAE experience handling large scale events. Candidates with additional international event management experience as well as knowledge of sponsorship relations will be preferred. PMP accreditation will also be highly valued.
Previous agency experience is preferred
Arabic speakers are preferred but not essential
Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and simultaneously to handle multiple projects
Versatile individual who is adaptable in both event design and implementation
Outstanding customer service attitude
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Excellent project management and problem solving skills
Proven hands-on, problem-solving record to successfully address unforeseen situations during project execution
Proficient in MS Office and project management software knowledge (e.g. Smart Sheet, Function Sheet)
