Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Co (ADMA-OPCO) has selected France’s Technip to provide project management consultancy (PMC) services for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) phases of the Zakum Oil Lines Replacement Project-Phase 1 (ZKOL). The deal will see Technip provide the overall management consultancy of the EPC phases until 2016 from the firm’s operating centre in Abu Dhabi. The ZKOL project serves ADMA-OPCO’s objective of replacing aged oil pipelines in the Zakum field, aiming to enhance integrity assessment and sustain oil production. Accordingly, the first phase comprises around 90km of oil pipelines replacement and associated wellhead towers modification work.
