Online professional networking website, LinkedIn has said its membership climbed 7% at the end of the fourth quarter of 2013, to 277 million worldwide from 259 million at the end of the previous quarter, Reuters has reported. Mobile users now account for 41% of LinkedIn members, up from 38% in the third quarter and 8% in early 2011. Despite the increase in the total number of members, the firm expects this year’s revenue to reach between $2.02bn and $2.05bn, compared with the average analyst expectation of $2.16bn. For the first quarter, the company’s sales outlook of $455m to $460m also came in below the $470m expected by analysts.
