In celebration of Qatar’s National Sports Day, popular Mexican grill restaurant, California Tortilla, participated in Qatar Foundation’s Sports Day with a drive to promote a healthy and active lifestyle.
California Tortilla erected a market stand in Education City next to the Learning Centre, where they served fresh, made-to-order, healthy items from their menu at special discounted rates. In the spirit of the day, they also generously gave away free burrito vouchers to the first 50 customers.
“We were honoured that Qatar Foundation recognized our initiatives to promote a healthy lifestyle and asked us to be a part of their National Sports Day celebrations. Healthy eating is something we believe to be an essential part of our day-to-day lives to complement an all round healthy lifestyle and we want to represent that in our business and do whatever we can to promote it and doing our part towards Qatar’s National Vision 2030” commented California Tortilla’s managing partner, Simon A. Nehme.
California Tortilla has been making considerable efforts to focus on healthy living in Qatar. This year they have hosted two promotions with two prominent fitness outlets. Offering 10 free boot camp classes were awarded to customers who purchased healthy items from the California Tortilla menu, such as the Southwestern Salads and Burrito Bowls. Another promotion saw great prizes from Go Sport, one of Doha’s leading sports retailers, that were given to fitness fanatics who answered fitness and nutrition related questions amidst a Twitter Trivia competition.
