Blue Nile Channel launches on ARABSAT satellite Badr- 5

Arab Satellite Organization Communications - Arabsat- announced the signature of a contract with the Sudanese Blue Nile Channel to join the Sudanese bouquet, broadcasted from the recently built platform shared between the Sudanese Radio & Television Agency and Arabsat, Blue Nile channel directly broadcast s its programs to the Sudanese platform via the optical fibers.

The Blue Nile channel is the most viewed Sudanese channel because it covers all the Sudanese events outside and inside the country and broadcast a range of vivid and diverse technical, political, social, sporting and cultural programmes.

Mr. Hassan Fadl Al-Mawla General Manager of the Channel, said "As a part of Blue Nile Channel ambitious and ongoing access to the Sudanese and the Arab viewers anywhere around the world, we are using Arabsat satellites Badr -5 to expand the channel coverage throughout the Middle East, Europe and Africa. The Blue Nile channel is very happy with this strategic relationship with Arabsat and hopes it will continue and grow in the coming years that will witness a great development in the Blue Nile channel plans including full transition to HD."

Eng. Khalid bin Ahmed Balkhyour President&CEO of Arabsat expressed his pleasure for having The Blue Nile Channel in the Sudanese bouquet, Balkhyour also praised the distinguished relationship between Arabsat and the Sudanese Radio & Television Agency.

He also added that the purpose of building such platforms in Sudan, the Arab world and the world is to facilitate the process of broadcasting to our customers wherever they are and to enable the viewers to easily watch these bouquets anywhere on a single frequency.
