  • Qatar: Thursday, May 02 - 2013 at 06:24

Akbar Al Baker the chief executive of Qatar Airways has said Boeing would compensate the Doha-based airline for the grounding of its 787 Dreamliners, Reuters has reported. "We will get compensation because we took airplanes we couldn't fly. Boeing understands that," Al Baker said, without giving a specific figure. The grounding had hurt the airline's expansion plans, he said. "We were planning 15 new routes, and now we have to settle for 10," Al Baker said.
