Boeing partners with Emirates and non-profits to deliver relief supplies to Bangladesh

Boeing partnered with Emirates and non-profit organization, SpaandaB to transport relief supplies on board the airlines' newly delivered 777-300ER (Extended Range) to those in need in Bangladesh.

The relief shipment comprised 23,000 pounds (10,455 kilos) of winter clothing especially for those living in the western part of Bangladesh which experiences severe winters. The shipment also includes educational supplies for children.

Boeing and Emirates joined hands with the non-profit organization SpaandaB whose mission is to bring about socio-economic change among the less-privileged people in Bangladesh by addressing their education needs and health services.

Since 1992, Boeing has facilitated more than 150 humanitarian delivery flights, working in partnership with nearly 55 different airlines worldwide.

"Boeing, through its Global Corporate Citizenship (GCC) organization, supports relief efforts around the world in partnership with nongovernmental agencies and nonprofits like SpaandaB. Through these collaborative efforts, and with our airline partners, we bring relief and hope to people in need," said Liz Warman, Global Corporate Citizenship Northwest director.
