- PRESS RELEASE
The Boeing Company announced the selection of three Emirati students for its 2013 International Business Intern Co-Op Program. The annual program, launched for the first time in the United Arab Emirates, allows students to spend six months working in the United States at the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) plant in Renton, Washington.
As part of the program, the students will work in BCA's Commercial Aviation Services (CAS), Marketing Analysis and International Marketing divisions from January to June 2013, while earning academic credits from their educational institutions. In addition to meaningful work experience, interns will be provided with training, tours, informational interviews, mentorship and access to executive roundtables, allowing them to gain first-hand knowledge of the aerospace industry.
The International Business Intern Co-Op Program is one of a number of educational and training initiatives that Boeing supports in the UAE and around the region as part of its efforts to contribute towards workforce development. Boeing has also previously partnered with educational institutions, such as the UAE Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT), whose students benefit from ongoing Boeing-led training and mentorship programs.
