  • United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, October 02 - 2012 at 16:34
  • PRESS RELEASE

Booz Allen Hamilton unveils its new Abu Dhabi office facilities in the Etihad Towers complex to customers and partners this week, signifying the organization's sustained momentum and growth in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

A reception will be held on 3rd October to celebrate the opening of the office. The management and technology consultancy leader also marked the occasion by hosting a senior group of UAE government and business dignitaries in a Harnessing Cyber Strength in the Middle East roundtable discussion on cyber security on 2nd October.

The new Abu Dhabi offices now serve as Booz Allen Hamilton's regional headquarters, further bolstering the firm's presence in the MENA region after extending operations to both Kuwait and Qatar in May 2012.

Further milestones are expected this year that will provide additional reach within the region, strengthening Booz Allen Hamilton's ability to provide specialist services to government and commercial clients on critical issues related to economic development in the areas of information technology, cyber security, transportation and other selected infrastructure.

Senior Vice President Don Pressley, who leads the firm's MENA operations, commented: "Booz Allen Hamilton is gaining increasing traction in the region, and the new Abu Dhabi office is a great base from which to manage our operations. We've been actively recruiting to build our team of regionally-based specialists, and this prestigious new space gives us a solid platform from which to manage our growth. Beyond the excitement of moving into our new, first-class facility, this week also affords the opportunity to gather together some of the firm's global cyber security experts and discuss some of the security challenges facing Middle East organizations today."

Mike McConnell, former U.S. Director of National Intelligence and current Vice Chairman of Booz Allen Hamilton, led the Harnessing Cyber Strength in the Middle East roundtable discussion, which included protecting the nation's critical infrastructure, such as financial and healthcare institutions, national security assets, and intellectual capital from cyber threats.

Attendees also talked about how strong cybersecurity enables the digital enterprise. Given today's highly interconnected global economy and multinational network infrastructure, effective cyber strength is critical to the growth and sustainable prosperity of the UAE and the GCC countries.

Booz Allen Hamilton has been at the forefront of strategy and technology consulting for nearly a century. Today, Booz Allen is a leading provider of management and technology consulting services to the US and international government in defense, intelligence, and civil markets, and to major corporations, institutions, and not-for-profit organizations. In addition to its Middle East headquarters office in Abu Dhabi, Booz Allen Hamilton also has staff operating in Qatar, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia. The firm is a well-known, trusted, and long-term partner to its clients, who seek its expertise and objective advice to address their most important and complex problems.
