Braemar Golf's management contract extended at Muscat Hills, Oman

We are pleased that the owners are committed to our strategy which has seen great improvements in the product and service delivery whilst maintaining market share in what has become an increasingly competitive market," said Braemar Golf's Operations Director, Michael Braidwood.

Commenting on the appointment, Muscat Golf Course Projects CEO HH Rawi Al Said, "We are grateful for the support Braemar Golf has given us over the past 30 months. Before Braemar Golf joined us we were struggling with a number of teething problems with our new facility. Over the last two and half years Braemar Golf has helped us tremendously in developing a very good product, a capable and stable management team and a business that is growing year on year."

This new phase of the agreement will see Braemar Golf continue to advise on the growth of the business, further refine the product and aid MGCP with the design and operating strategy for their new clubhouse facility which is scheduled to break ground later this year.

Each year we are seeing more and more interest from overseas tour operators, which is really helping position Muscat Hills as a viable tourist destination. Muscat Hills Golf and Country Club is Oman's first 18 hole championship golf course. Designed by Paul Thomas and opened in 2009 the stunning golf course has been crafted through rocky terrain and has numerous dramatic wadis (dry river beds) running through it.

The wadis give the golf course two challenging par 3 holes which are played directly across them. The course is generous off the tee with wide lush fairways and with a choice of 5 teeing grounds per hole the course sets up for all standard of golfer.
