- PRESS RELEASE
As Oman's construction sector is gaining momentum with the continuous rise in the number of construction projects, The BIG Show is placed in a good stead as it leverages the opportunity to provide an accessible, convenient and proper trade, sourcing and networking gateway for the industry.
From March 17 to 20, 2013, pioneer and leading exhibitions and conferences organizer Omanexpo takes another big step for the building and construction industry as it holds the 10th edition of The BIG Show Oman at the Oman International Exhibition Center.
"Omanexpo is proud to have opened up trade opportunities for local and global companies in the construction sector. There is definitely an increase in the demand for building materials and a need to increase the size of the market. By tapping companies that focus on much-needed raw materials like cement, concrete products, marble and stone products, we help in the sourcing requirements of the industry," Nader Abbas, Omanexpo's General Manager for Operations said.
The BIG Show's project manager Ebrahim Taher emphasized that "The 2013 edition will present a "back-to-basics" platform, offering the most relevant materials, products, services and equipment for under-construction, renovation, interior design projects, and any type of construction activity. In line with the industry's growth, he explained that this will further boost the entry of foreign companies into the Omani market.
The BIG Show will hold a conference that centers on safety in construction sites, concrete durability and sustainable environment, backing up this year's major exhibits such as bathroom, kitchen products and equipment, building materials, concrete and cement products, eco-friendly building products and home decor and furnishing.
The BIG Show Oman is recognized as the biggest and most important show for the building and construction sector and holds the prestige of being granted UFI-approved status by UFI-The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry.
