Emaar’s flagship project, the Burj Khalifa tower, is to be officially opened on January 4, 2010 on the anniversary of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s accession. Although the final height of the $4bn development is still a closely guarded secret, it tops out above 800m tall – making it the world’s tallest tower.
