- PRESS RELEASE
Vision Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of information availability software and services, is showcasing its Double-Take 6.0 solution for exceptional application and data protection in physical, virtual, and Cloud computing environments at the ongoing GITEX 2012 in Dubai.
"In today's competitive global market, interruptions in data or downtime for systems applications are simply not acceptable causalities to business operations and revenue. To risk information and application access with an IT infrastructure that doesn't provide around- the-clock operations is to risk an organization's reputation. Double-Take allows companies to save data, revenue and even jobs as a result of the software's replication and failover technology," said Henry Martinez, VP for Engineering, Vision Solutions.
At a recent business continuity conference in Dubai, experts from global market advisory firm International Data Corporation said close to 50 per cent of businesses that lose data during a disaster never reopen; and those that suffer from data loss and downtime could lose up to 16 per cent of their annual revenues.
"Businesses are beginning to understand how critical downturn and data loss could be to their operations and bottomlines, and are seeing the value of investing in holistic disaster recovery solutions, which is where Vision Solutions can make a difference," added Martinez.
And with more than 70 per cent of the region's top IT executives in the Middle East considering pouring investments in business continuity and data recovery solutions in their organisations this year, Vision Solutions is in a good position to lead this growing sector with its industry-leading solutions.
As a case in point - Motor Vehicle Periodic Inspection (MVPI), the organisation responsible for vehicle testing of licensed vehicles in Saudi Arabia, would have to stop all testing activity in a centre if its systems suddenly became unavailable. It turned to Double Take, which has helped its centres continue to serve customers without interruption. "Thanks to Double-Take, we are now much more confident about the continuity of our local operations because we know that everything is fully protected," said Raed AlZubaidi, IT Director, MVPI.
Double-Take 6.0 is Vision Solutions' flagship offering for Windows and Linux, developed from more than 20 years' experience providing global availability services and protection to businesses and partners. With more than 25,000 customers running Windows, Linux, IBM Power Systems and Cloud Computing environments, Vision Solutions excels at the continuous pursuit of making business continuity simpler and more affordable.
