- PRESS RELEASE
As Qatar's business and government leaders continue to align strategies with the Qatar National Vision 2030 and embed strategy management best practices, Dr Robert Kaplan, the iconic inventor of the Balanced Scorecard, is set to deliver his famous Masterclass as part of the first ever Balanced Scorecard Forum Qatar.
Dr Kaplan's Masterclass is a comprehensive overview of how to implement the Balanced Scorecard successfully in both government and private sector organisations to ensure effective strategy execution. The Masterclass will be supplemented by strategy execution case studies presented by a range of successful organisations from across the GCC. Featured case studies include Qatar's own Qatar Steel, Ashghal and Aspire Zone Foundation. Other regional case studies will be shared by Abu Dhabi Executive Council, The Executive Council of Dubai and Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC). Both Qatar Steel and The Executive Council of Dubai achieved the prestigious Balanced Scorecard Hall of Fame status in 2012.
The event builds on more than a decade of the popular Balanced Scorecard Forum in Dubai and is brought to Qatar by IIR Middle East. Conference Director, Vanessa Heywood said, "Balanced Scorecard Forum Qatar is the first opportunity for Qatar's strategy professionals to experience the unique blend of Masterclass, regional case studies and practical hands-on workshops that makes Balanced Scorecard Forum so popular. Not only can delegates hear Dr Kaplan share twenty years of Balanced Scorecard expertise, they can also hear from executives who have implemented the tool here in the Middle East and learn from their challenges and successes."
