- PRESS RELEASE
Byredo, the Stockholm based fragrance house, has opened its first ever boutique outside hometown, at Al Ain Mall in UAE. The signature boutique will have full range of the brand starting from eau de perfumes, body care and home fragrances to accessories as well. The opening of Al Ain store will be followed by 'shop -in- shops' launch in other Emirates exclusively in association with Paris Gallery.
"And I am delighted to say that it's even more exciting to be able to launch the brand within Paris Gallery in the coming months as I feel they will be the perfect home and compliment to our store in Al Ain."
From fruity to woody, floral to herbal and leather to spicy, the eau de perfume line consists of 16 fragrances and is available in both 50 ml and 100 ml bottles as well as travel packs consisting of 3 x 12 ml vials.
The paraffin free body care line is divided into the same 16 fragrances with matching lotion, body wash, cream and classic soap bars. The body cream is currently available in six different scents and the home fragrance line is rich with 13 unique aromas.
Founded in 2006 by Ben Gorham, Byredo is a luxury brand specializing in perfumes, leather goods and accessories. Closely associated with world-renowned perfumers like Olivia Giacobetti and Jerome Epinette, Byredo is synonymous with art, creativity and lifestyle. The brand has established itself as one of the leaders within the world of luxury fragrance and has developed an approach to creating fragrance that is as unique as it is logical.
Byredo's unique styling and identity originates from Ben's mixed birth and background. A native swede, born to an Indian mother and Canadian father and brought up in Stockholm, New York and Toronto, Ben added a touch of ethnicity to his brand in contrast to the classic Scandinavian aesthetics.
"I have always been fascinated by the world of fragrances and its effect on my memories and impressions. Through Byredo I want to communicate my own personal experience- to contribute to an almost collective memory of time and place. I also believe in a modern approach without loosing olfactory techniques- of simply bringing together the best of old and new," said Ben explaining the uniqueness and specialties of his brand.
Byredo has curved it's own niche with a style of perfumery that reinforces an understated approach through simple compositions and use top most quality raw materials. With a distinct focus on craft and quality, while all products of Byredo are manufactured in Sweden, fragrances are created in Roberlet in New York by perfumers-Olivia Giacobetti and Jerome Epinette.
Apart from the Byredo's main store in Stockholm, full range of products from the brand is distributed globally. They are available in 24 countries with stores and 'shop in shops' in select specialty and department stores such as Le Bon Marché and Colette in Paris, Liberty in London, Isetan in Tokyo, Barney ́s in New York and Los Angeles and Holt Renfrew in Toronto.
In the Middle East, the entry of Byredo will bring a whiff of uniqueness to the ever-growing luxury market and the lucrative beauty industry.
