Canada's GOSH bags Jordan oil shale exploration deal

The Jordanian government has signed an exploration agreement with Canada-based Global Oil Shale Holdings (GOSH), potentially leading to a major production project in the country. Under the agreement, GOSH is to assess oil shale resources in the southern and central regions of the kingdom. GOSH will spend two years exploring the 220 sq km of land, and will then negotiate with the government on how best to exploit whatever oil shale it finds.
