Canisius College signs cooperation agreement with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University

Canisius will control admissions to the programmes, student progress, and assessment.

Instruction will be delivered online by Canisius faculty while TAGIUNI will recruit qualified students and provide academic services such as advisement, positive identification of students, secure testing, and tutoring.

The agreement includes the following four online programmes: Master of Science in International Business, Certificate in Educational Administration, Certificate in Educational Technologies & Emerging Media, and Certificate in Online Teaching and Training.

The degrees and certificates will be awarded buy Canisius but will also be co-branded and recognize the cooperation of TAGIUNI.

"This agreement affirms our interest in increasing our programme enrollments from outside the United States," said President Hurley.

"This is one of the bridges we are building to extend our global reach. We are especially happy to partner with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University and participate in the wide network of contacts the organization has. Talal has been a friend to Canisius College for many years, has recruited students for our classroom programmes, and has an excellent reputation in business and education," he added.

"We view cooperation with Canisius College as an important step towards building a strong online educational system to reach the rest of the world," said Abu-Ghazaleh.

"It is very important for TAGIUNI to be part of global educational institutions in cooperation with such outstanding institutions as Canisius College," he added.

TAGIUNI is also working on similar agreements with accredited universities elsewhere in the US and in Europe.
