Canon Middle East, a leader in imaging solutions, kick started the New Year with its Annual Employee Meeting in Dubai and Abu Dhabi to recognize and celebrate the company's achievements in the past year and roll out the strategy for 2013.

The Annual get together, marked the beginning of the year at Canon Middle East as the company set down the strategic direction and focus for the year ahead and brought Canon Middle East employees together with members of senior management to highlight the company's business goals and strategic roadmap to 'Build the Future' in the imaging industry.

The event was a great follow up to the company's successful Partner Conference in December 2012 during which the company outlined its business objectives and new growth targets for 2013 to around 100 partners from 45 countries in the Middle East, North, West and East Africa region.

The Annual Canon Middle East 'Kick Off' 2013 was held across two venues in Dubai and Abu Dhabi to offer employees an exclusive experience to celebrate the beginning of a new chapter at Canon Middle East. The Kick Off meeting was initiated on the 23rd of January at the majestic One and Only Royal Mirage Hotel in Dubai followed by Family staff party in Abu Dhabi

The event in Abu Dhabi marked a special celebration to commemorate the company's performance and success in 2012 and an occasion to boost team spirit and employee engagement where Canon Middle East organized a family staff party and other activities as part of the festivities.

The 2013 edition of the Kick Off also saw Canon Middle East highlight its on-going commitment towards the community through a 'silent auction', designed to raise funds for charity. Canon Middle East vowed to continue to build upon its community involvement culture and foster the spirit of giving back to society in 2013.

Anurag Agrawal, Managing Director of Canon Middle East, said, "2012 was a great year, with so many efforts to recognize and many more achievements to celebrate. The Annual Canon Middle East 'Kick Off' is a great platform for us to honour the efforts of every member of the Canon Middle East team and welcome them in our journey to the future. 2013 will see us keep this momentum and successfully leverage new opportunities to offer our customers and partners the very best in imaging technology and services. We will continue to reinforce our 'closer to customers' strategy and drive the bounds of business and technology innovation to greater heights. I'm sure that with all the teamwork and the innovations under our belt, the year ahead will see us inspire creativity and innovation."

Canon Middle East continues to report accelerated growth across emerging markets in the Middle East and Africa and is now transitioning to a new phase of continuous innovation within the imaging industry. Through a range of recently launched products and features, Canon is driving forth the demand for all round connectivity and business transformation via embedded Wi-Fi functionality and integration with Google Cloud Print. The company aims to further boost its market standing by offering cross media imaging solutions and great value added services for its many customers in the region.

Building on its on-going focus on employee engagement, the Annual Canon Middle East 'Kick Off' is a testament to the company's commitment to its employees who have shown unwavering dedication to the company's vision and goals in the last year.
