Capital Club Bahrain announces appointment of new General Manager

Capital Club, Bahrain's premier private business club, has appointed former broadcaster and author-turned hotelier Shahnaz Pakravan, as its new General Manager.

The announcement was made at the Club's recent 3rd Anniversary Gala event attended by many of Bahrain's business and social elite and supported by PineBridge Investments. Pakravan originally joined Capital Club Bahrain from her base in Dubai as interim Club Manager to oversee operations.

Pakravan began her career with Signature Clubs International (SCI) in 2009 as Assistant General Manager, Capital Club Dubai. Prior to joining SCI, Pakravan managed a 200-year old Scottish Highlands hotel.

"I am confident that Shahnaz will approach this new challenge with the same degree of enthusiasm and dedication with which she has approached her previous posts," says Guy Guillemard, Chief Executive Signature Clubs International.

"In still-uncertain economic times, the success of the Bahrain property under her guidance is a testament to her knowledge and ability, which will also serve her well as the Club moves into its fourth year," he added.

This dynamic and passionate member of the SCI family has received recognition for her dedication and commitment to the success of Capital Club Dubai since its inception in 2008.

"I'm delighted to be at the helm of this prestigious Club, to be in Bahrain where I have many friends and family, and to have the opportunity of working in a new and magnificent environment with a great team," said Pakravan, who assumed her new position on September 1st 2012.
