Capital Municipal Council representattives review road projects 2012-2014

The Ministry of Works held a meeting with the head and members of the Capital Municipal Council to review future road projects (20113) and also discuss the projects that have been implemented in 2012.

The meeting was attended by Head of the Capital Municipal Council Majeed Milad, Municipal Members Ghazi Al Dosari and Hussain Gargoor, and MoW's Roads Projects & Maintenance Director Raed Al Salah and a number of officials from the Ministry.

Work is ongoing to implement Mina Salman Interchange and provide a smooth and non-stop traffic movement towards Hidd and Al Fateh Highway.

The Ministry is studying the transformation of the interchanges along Mina Salman Interchange for the purpose of creating a non-stop movement towards North Manama Causeway; currently under construction.

The Ministry is also planning to implement 13 projects in 2013-2014, which are Al Guraifa Revamp Project, the revamp of Abdul Rahman Al Dakhil Avenue, Al Jisr Avenue, Palace Road, Sh. Abdulla Avenue, Maan bin Zayed Avenue, Municipality Avenue, the Government Avenue, and Salmaniya Avenue.

Plans also include replacing Al Qala'ah Roundabout with a traffic signal and revamping roads in villages, including blocks in Bilad Al Qadeem and Sanabis.
