New car sales in Lebanon rose 13.4% in January

Lebanon's Association of Car Importers has said sales of new cars in January rose 13.4% to 2,358 vehicles from 2,080 units sold in the same period last year, The Daily Star has reported. Korean cars continued its domination in the local market, accounting for 42.7%, followed by European cars with 25.3%. Japanese manufacturers sold 566 units in January, capturing 24% of market share, the association said.
