CargoWise, global in technology solutions for logistics service providers 'LSPs', announced a significant expansion of its presence in the Middle East through a distribution partnership with logistics and supply chain technology specialists ATMS.
The company will use the CargoWise technology to expand its customer base.
"We are perfectly placed to offer training and support services for ediEnterprise from CargoWise, and the software is an ideal complement for our existing product line," says Stephen Cross, ATMS managing director.
"Access to world-leading logistics management software in conjunction with a strong local presence will provide our customers with the technology and the support they need to expand into new markets," he added.
Volodya Bilanovsky, Vice President Channel Partner Management for CargoWise says the partnership with ATMS provides the opportunity to establish a strong presence in a rapidly-growing region which is home to Jebel Ali, one of the world's largest shipping and air cargo ports.
With more than 4,000 sites across 75 different countries, CargoWise software will provide customers in the Gulf region with the opportunity to expand into new global markets as CargoWise takes advantage of the opportunity to further develop an enhanced feature set specific to the requirements of the Middle East market.
"Although we are already established in the Middle East region, this agreement gives us the opportunity to offer new customers a sophisticated logistics system which combines global scope with the reassurance of a distributor with a strong local presence. This will provide logistics, shipping and freight forwarding companies in the region with the capacity to compete effectively on the global stage," Bilanovsky says.
"This distribution and support agreement with ATMS shows our commitment to customers in this highly strategic and rapidly expanding region, which has strong links into the Asian, African and European markets," he added.
