Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group appoints new General Manager of Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Deira Creek

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group - one of the fastest growing hotel companies worldwide- announces the appointment of Tim Cordon as General Manager of Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Deira Creek.
Prior to this role he spent 10 years with Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group.
Cordon started his impressive career in 2000 as an Operations Manager at the Crowne Plaza in Edinburgh, which was later rebranded to a Radisson Blu.
His first General Manager's position came at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Manchester Airport which, at the time was Rezidor's largest hotel in the UK. During his time at the property he was responsible for successfully growing market share and increasing profitability, positioning the hotel in Rezidor's top 20 hotels worldwide.
He went onto hold GM positions in two key Rezidor properties in London, Radisson Blu Portman Hotel and Radisson Blu Hotel Stansted Airport. In 2006 Cordon entered the British Hospitality Hall of Fame, with the Alpha Forum Prize - (young manager award).
In his new role, Cordon's responsabilities will include overseeing operations at the 276 roomed property, a team of over 600 staff, 16 F&B venues as well as recruitment, development, training, scheduling and guest satisfaction.
Effective from the 10th of February, Cordon, will replace current GM Janet Fitzner who will move within the group to Radisson Blu Resort, in Fujairah. Cordon holds a degree from Nottingham Trent University in Mechanical Engineering and Design and Technology including qualified teacher status.
