Carrefour donates 54,000 Iftar meals for those in need this Ramadan

The donation follows last year's successful Ramadan campaign by OCO in which Carrefour again donated 54,000, Iftar meals that were then distributed across Oman to relieve the hunger of thousands of underprivileged families and individuals.

"Ramadan is an exceptional time of year where helping others is at the forefront of everyone's minds. It gives us time to reflect on the things that we have in life and how we can help those less fortunate than ourselves," commented GCC Senior Vice President of Carrefour, Henry Changeux. "When we heard that OCO were donating Iftar meals again this year, we wanted to get involved to ensure thousands of people, who might otherwise go hungry, will be given meals this Ramadan." Changeux concluded.

Oman Charitable Organization was established in Oman in 1996 and has worked to ease the suffering of people, and provide aid to the suffering, all around the world. Their latest activities involve providing food and clothing to those affected in Somalia's as well as assisting those displaced from the Abyan province in Yemen.
