- PRESS RELEASE
Cassidian CyberSecurity is sponsoring the Cyber Defence Summit in Muscat on March 4-5th, to emphasize the increasing dangers posed by Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs) and demonstrate their advanced cyber defence offering, which will combat these threats.
Guy Meguer, General Manager Middle East, said: "It is important for Cassidian CyberSecurity to sponsor this Summit. Effective cyber defence is particularly critical, because it is no longer a question of if a malware attack will spread, but how quickly a malware attack will spread. Modern malware, especially APT type attacks, are designed to work silently and put the emphasis on stealth.
"The individuals and criminal organisations controlling APT attacks work slowly to identify vulnerabilities in the targeted networks, bring in extra tools and executables and then slowly exfiltrate sensitive data.
"At the forthcoming Cyber Defence Summit, Cassidian CyberSecurity will be talking about our new offering which will protect organizations from APTs. We will also be demonstrating our Cymerius® solution, the major asset in protecting our Security Operations Centres (SOCs) against cyber attacks."
François Lavaste, CEO of Netasq, added: "Our innovation is focused on delivering security without compromise to companies of all sizes against ever more frequent and prominent attacks, including APTs. Our solutions reach exceptionally high standards of reliability and ensure that the most sensitive information can be adequately protected against security breaches. Our solutions are part of the defensive strategies that prevent APTs from being successful. We are delighted to have the opportunity to present our latest offering alongside Cassidian CyberSecurity at the Cyber Defence Summit in Oman."
