- PRESS RELEASE
Cedars Jebel Ali International Hospital in collaboration with Dubai Blood Donation Center will conduct blood donation drive on 14 February in the hospital's premises.
"By just donating one pint of blood a person can save up to three lives. With this voluntary act, we do not only help others but ourselves as well. For individuals prone to iron overload, blood donation prevents the accumulation of iron in toxic quantities. Researchers have also found out that repeated blood donation is an effective way of reducing blood pressure, blood glucose and cholesterol. It also stimulates the bone marrow to produce new red blood cells to replenish what the body has lost and refreshes the system," she added.
"Organizing and participating in blood donation drive is part of our commitment to provide quality healthcare. By giving a part of our blood, we also make sure that another person's life is saved. We are happy to be working with Dubai Blood Donation Center for this noble act and look forward to repeating this kind of event," Anne-Susann Becker, Deputy Managing Director, stated.
All individuals interested to participate are welcome to join the Cedars blood donation drive on 14th February from 9 am to 1 pm.
