Centamin dismisses contract annulment reports

Gold miner Centamin has dismissed news emerging from an Egyptian administrative court as "comments" and said its contract to mine gold at its key Sukari asset in the country remained valid, Reuters has reported. The company said the administrative court does not have the jurisdiction to cancel the contract. An Egyptian administrative court had said earlier yesterday that Centamin's contract to exploit the Sukari was void, sending its shares plunging to a three-year low before they were suspended.
