Center of Waste Management - Abu Dhabi to encourage community to adopt sustainable practices at WFES 2013

The Center of Waste Management - Abu Dhabi announced it will showcase programmes and creative initiatives on safe and effective methods of waste management as part of its participation at the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) 2013.
Additionally, as part of its efforts to reduce waste production at source, the Center will seek to educate and inform the community and commercial organizations in Abu Dhabi about eco-friendly and easy to adopt habits that promote the concept of treating waste.
The world's foremost annual event dedicated to advancing future energy, energy efficiency and clean technologies, WFES 2013 is scheduled to be held from 15-17 January at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).
H.E Mohamed Rashid Al Hameli, General Manager of the Centre of Waste Management - Abu Dhabi, said, "We are keen to participate each year at the World Future Energy Summit, a prominent global platform for dialogue on sustainable development. Through our presence, we seek to share best practices on the 3 R's in the context of waste management - reduce, reuse and recycle. We also aim to help the community adopt environmentally-friendly waste disposal methods."
Al Hameli added, "We are proud of our achievements till date in positioning the emirate as a leader in sustainable development and environment safety. Towards maintaining Abu Dhabi's status at the forefront and instilling a sustainable culture across the emirate, we continuously seek to collaborate with other government entities. We are confident that we will successfully advance our mandate during WFES 2013."
The sixth World Future Energy Summit is expected to attract nearly 30,000 visitors and serve as the cornerstone event at the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, hosted by Masdar from 13 - 17 January, 2013.
